long time no orienteering... short E-course in good, not too warm, weather.
#5 was the only problem, first searched too soon for it, then ran past it, and only found it coming back from the bigger trail. 5+ minute error..

I added a model for OPA818 to TIASim that allows predicting transimpedance amplifier performance such as bandwidth and noise.
With an extra sqrt(2) factor when computing C_F (capacitance, for stability, in parallel with R_F) I get reasonable agreement with the BW vs. PD-capacitance figure in the TI datasheet.
A second run of the optical clock on 2020-06-11 - this is a 64x speedup of the overnight live-stream:
We've had a number of Atom C2000 machines die during the past 1-2 years. The most recent one ran continuously since 2015 until 2020/05. The randomly dying machines are SuperMicro 5018A-MLTN4 with A1SAM-2550F motherboard.
Via EEVBlog we now found this simple fix. And it works!
Amazingly SuperMicro or other vendors don't seem to advertize or talk about this simple fix very much...
HMC799 is a fast transimpedance amplifier in QFN-16 package.
This is how the One Inch Photodetector looks like mounted in a 1" lens mount.
Bandpass filter, in a fairly large HQ1157 footprint.
This might be useful for buffering the output of photodiode amplifiers?
